Hector Navarrete, Account Director at Firefly Millward Brown’s office in Dubai, UAE, believes consumer understanding is not reached based on an end goal, rather it is a journey in which curiosity is the constant for passionately travelling the road to this understanding.

Hector has applied this philosophy for the past ten years as he continues to build his expertise in communication, branding, shopper studies and advertising. With a bachelor of arts in anthropology, a master of arts in social anthropology and an advanced diploma in marketing, Hector draws upon his knowledge of origins and cultures coupled with marketing savvy to bring unique insight to his clients. Highly familiar and skilled with ethnography, semiotics and other qualitative and quantitative tools, Hector makes it a point to balance these tools to understand human behavior and solve marketing challenges for local, regional and global clients.

Hector switched gears in 2015 to join our office in Dubai after three years at Millward Brown Colombia. Prior to Firefly, his roles included Anthropology Director at GfK, provider of vital global insights matched with local market intelligence from more than 100 countries; Strategic Planning Director in an advertising agency – Toro Fischer America – and client-oriented roles while at SABMiller.
