Amelie Truffert

Account Director, Ghana

With over 10 years of industry experience, Amelie first started her research career in London working for a small research company specialising in ethnography. After a few years there learning the ropes (and a brief stint working in the film industry to polish those ethnographic skills), she moved to Ipsos MORI (London) and then a small boutique agency where she developed an expertise in utilising Consumer Connect sessions and Communication evaluations to help clients achieve a better understanding of their consumers’ needs. 

Amelie has worked extensively across Western Europe and has developed keen knowledge of the UK and French markets.  She continues to use ethnographic techniques whenever appropriate among her arsenal of qualitative research methods.

Amelie has been in Africa for 3 years with most of her time spent in Nairobi, Kenya. There she travelled across Africa covering an impressive footprint across the continent in a short amount of time. Fluent in French, she has worked extensively in both francophone (DRC, Burkina Faso, CIV) and Anglophone (Kenya, Botswana, Ghana) markets for clients such as Safaricom (Vodacom), Airtel, L’Oreal, GSK and Coca-Cola.

She now head the Firefly office in Ghana since late 2015.

Amelie holds degrees in French and International Relations from the University of Warwick.

  • Joined Firefly Millward Brown in 2013 in Kenya, then took some time out to have a baby before re-joining Firefly in Ghana.
  • She speaks French fluently and also dabbles in Spanish
  • Is a keen marathon runner; she hopes to continue her marathon career (although is daunted by the heat of West Africa)
