Talking to strangers and getting them to open up about their feelings may be difficult for some, but comes quite easy for a qualitative researcher like Jane, whose self-described bubbly personality contributes to her talent on the job. Besides loving her job, Jane is friendly, easy going and confident — all extremely useful attributes to be a great qualitative researcher.  She finds qualitative research exciting, challenging, enjoyable and exhilarating all at the same time. She believes face-to-face interaction with consumers is invaluable to understanding client needs and opportunities. 

Before joining the qualitative team, Jane worked in the quantitative department for two years, handling the Uganda and Malawi markets for key the client, Airtel. Her move to qualitative was about following her passion. Prior to joining Millward Brown, she worked in a change management consultancy based in Cape Town, where her work was centered around staff satisfaction and reaction to change management.  

Jane holds multiple degrees—a master’s in Project Management, a bachelor’s in Politics and Public Administration and an honor’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Cape Town.
